A soggy solution

I have a little thing about wearing snow boots to school. They are big, ugly and clumsy and lets face it, they don't match with anything. So my kids wear their tennis shoes to school, no matter the weather (actually, they don't want to wear snow boots either, I really would let them if they wanted to.) So every day in the winter they come home from school with sopping wet shoes. They take off their wet shoes in the garage, where it is really cold and the next morning their shoes are still soaking wet AND freezing cold. I can't send my kids to school in these frigid temperature with soggy shoes, so this has been my solution. Fire hazard? Yea, maybe, but it works. And after those soggy shoes have slept on the heat vents all night my kids can run out the door each morning with toasty toes... ready to jump in the first snow drift they see.
