The greatest snow on earth...

...is right in our backyard!

We were bored on New Year's Day.

Really bored. And lazy.

Bored and lazy are not words that sit well with Trevor. He claims he has never been bored a day in his life. So he decided to do something about it.

He made everyone bundle up and we headed around the corner to the park by our house. It was a great decision. It was a perfect day for sledding.


This little one was having a blast. I couldn't believe it. She would go all by herself. She would go headfirst. She whizzed down that hill so fast she was like a tiny pink blur. And then the tiny pink blur would patiently wait at the bottom for her brother to come.

The pink blur would then lie very still as she was pulled all the way back up the hill only to do it all over again. Spoiled? Ya think?

There were a lot of people there, but it didn't matter. It is this massive hill to sled on and we had a great run all to ourselves (it even had a jump!). I don't know how, but people were sledding all over the place and no one was running into each other; everyone had a place to be and sled and it was great.

Thanks dad, for a fun New Year's Day activity!
There was nothing boring or lazy about it, that's for sure.

And that's just the way Trevor wanted it to be.
